Ricky Pearsall Injury Update
Pearsall left Week 4's game with what he described as "a little bit of pain and a little bit of instability."
#49ers WR Ricky Pearsall on his right knee issue, mentions some pain and a little instability:
"I was testing it out. I tried to keep my feet inbounds and I fell pretty hard on my knee. I was just feeling pain, a little bit of instability. I wasn’t trying to really mess with…

Coach Kyle Shanahan said that the injury was a "minor PCL" issue that would hopefully not keep Pearsall off the field for long. He wasn't able to make it back on a short week for Thursday Night Football in Week 5, but even more concerning is the fact that he also missed Week 6 after two full weeks off.
Pearsall has a chance to return this week against the Falcons, according to reports from ESPN's Adam Schefter, but he will hopefully be able to get some work in practice throughout the week to give everyone more clarity on his status and if he'll be ready to go at full speed.
#49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said QB Brock Purdy (toe) and WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) will be evaluated on Wednesday with the hope that both can at least do a little more this week in practice.

Ricky Pearsall Fantasy Football Outlook
Before the injury, Pearsall looked ready to help carry the workload this season after the trade of Deebo Samuel Sr. to the Commanders this offseason. He had at least four catches in each of his first four games and posted over 100 yards in two of those contests.

He had a total of 20 catches on 29 targets for 327 yards in his four games, and he could be even more the focus of the offense when he returns, depending on the status of George Kittle (hamstring, IR) and Jauan Jennings (ribs), who is playing through his injury but seems extremely limited.
Pearsall had success with both Mac Jones and Purdy (toe) at quarterback, although Purdy's return would give the offense a higher ceiling overall. Both Purdy and Pearsall will be working their way back this week and hoping to take the field against the Falcons on Sunday Night Football.
Looking further down the road, the Niners visit the Texans and the Giants the next two Sundays before hosting the Rams. They don't have their bye week until Week 14, so Pearsall can be a good solution through the rest of the bye week season if he can get back on the field.
When healthy, Pearsall can be a solid WR2 with WR1 upside depending on who else is available. He is worth holding in all formats, and keep a close eye on his practice availability this week to see if he's on track to return on Sunday night.
