When Will Isiah Pacheco Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 6 (2024)

Isiah Pacheco - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Running Backs

When will Isiah Pacheco return and play? Will Isiah Pacheco be back again this season? Read the latest Isiah Pacheco injury updates and return date for Week 6 (2024).

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco began the season with a strong first two weeks. He racked up 135 yards on the ground and one touchdown.

However, the running back hasn't played a game since injuring his fibula in Week 2. Fantasy managers are wondering when the fantasy gem will return to the field.

When will Pacheco return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

Isiah Pacheco Injury Update

Pacheco (fibula) underwent successful surgery on Wednesday and is still projected to return in six to eight weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

It's good news that Pacheco's surgery went smoothly, with no complications or ligament damage, giving him a solid chance to return later this season.

While he's unlikely to be activated before November or possibly even December, his potential for strong late-season production makes him worth holding onto in most fantasy leagues.

Fantasy managers should monitor his injury status as we get closer to November.

Isiah Pacheco Fantasy Football Outlook

If Pacheco does return later this season, fantasy managers should continue to start him, as he brought fantastic RB2 value to fantasy rosters. Pacheco was averaging 4.0 yards per rush before his injury and was the clear RB1 in that Kansas City backfield.

During his absence, the Chiefs will look to Kareem Hunt, Carson Steele, and Samaje Perine to handle most backfield duties. Hunt has looked like the clear first stringer as the Chiefs fed him 27 carries in Week 5 against the Saints.

Fantasy managers will continue to leave him on the bench until he returns but should monitor any injury updates the Chiefs provide in the next few weeks.
