When Will Devin Singletary Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 6 (2024)

Devin Singletary - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

When will Devin Singletary return and play? Will Devin Singletary be back again this season? Read the latest Devin Singletary injury updates for Week 6 (2024).

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary has been a surprise this season (until Week 4 at least), playing better than expected while scoring 9.2, 13.5, and 17.8 PPR fantasy points through his first three games. He's played well so far and has been a solid RB2 for fantasy.

The Giants are starting to show some life on offense, and their running game is part of the reason why. The offensive line has been decent, which is a huge improvement over the past few years. This benefits everyone, the running backs included.

Unfortunately, the Giants' lead back is dealing with an injury and didn't play in Week 5. So, when will Devin Singletary return and be back for the Giants?

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! Devin Singletary Injury Update

The former Buffalo Bill is dealing with a groin injury that caused him to miss Week 5. He practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday. Singletary previously had a limited practice on Friday of Week 5, so it appears he's making steady progress and is coming closer to his return.

It's not known yet whether he will return for Week 6. Fantasy managers should be prepared for another absence, but he's trending positively. If he can't go, rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. and sophomore Eric Gray would be the main running backs to receive touches.

Devin Singletary Fantasy Football Outlook

It will be interesting to see what happens after Tracy's breakout game. It's important to note that typically one performance doesn't mean a back will take over a backfield especially when the lead back has played well. That said, it wouldn't be surprising to see the rookie get a few more looks on offense.

Sometimes workhorse usage isn't that much better for a starter's production anyway. Having a one-two punch can allow the offense to utilize the strengths of both backs and help their efficiency. For now, Singletary can be started with confidence when he plays as an RB2. He won't get phased out of the offense and has a history with head coach Brian Daboll going back to his Buffalo days.
