Best Week 8 Kicker Streamers - Fantasy Football Kickers to Pick Up and Start

Evan McPherson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Kicker Streamers, Waiver Wire Pickups

The top Week 8 kicker streamers, fantasy football pickups and kicker starts for 2025. Target these fantasy kicker streaming options with strong Week 8 matchups.

While it may not seem overly significant, streaming the right kicker can be the difference between winning and losing your weekly fantasy football matchup. With several high-end kickers on bye in Week 8, like Jake Bates, the importance of streaming is even higher.

In this weekly piece, we will identify five interesting teams that are quickly available and have the upside to finish among the top of the position.

Who are some top streaming options at the kicker position in Week 8? Let's dive in and make some winning moves.

Top Kicker Streamers for Week 8

Only players rostered in fewer than 65% of fantasy football leagues are considered potential streamers.

Tyler Loop (BAL) vs. CHI
35% Rostered

The 24-year-old is coming off a bye, which is likely why he is widely available heading into Week 8. In addition, with Lamar Jackson (hamstring) missing each of the past two games, Loop's ceiling has been significantly limited. In Weeks 1 through 4, Loop went 7-for-7 with 14 extra points. However, in Weeks 5 and 6, Loop went 2-for-3 with only one extra point.

With Jackson training toward a return, Loop re-enters the top-10 conversation. Even though the Bears have been one of the better defenses as of late, expect Baltimore to return to form on Sunday.

Michael Badgley (IND) at TEN
30% Rostered

While Michael Badgley has not been as productive as Spencer Shrader, who he replaced after a season-ending injury, Badgley enters Week 8 as a strong streamer. Through his first two games, the former Charger has gone 2-for-2 while going 7-for-8 on extra points. Given Indianapolis' elite offense, Badgley carries a safe floor.

This weekend, they will face the Tennessee Titans, who have surrendered the 14th-most PPR points to opposing kickers. Targeting kickers on high-octane offenses is always key to identifying the top streamers. Badgley has one of the safest floors in Week 8.

Evan McPherson (CIN) vs. NYJ
60% Rostered

Evan McPherson was likely cut in many leagues once Joe Burrow hit the shelf due to turf toe. During Weeks 3 through 5, McPherson hit just three field goals (on three attempts) with only four extra points. Given Jake Browning's struggles, McPherson's upside appeared quite limited.

After a rough showing in Week 6, the entire Cincinnati offense appears to have turned the corner. In Week 7, Joe Flacco led the Bengals to an upset victory over the Steelers. In this game, McPherson went 4-for-4 on field goals and knocked in three extra points.

Facing the Jets, who have allowed the most PPR points to opposing kickers, makes McPherson a must-play in all leagues. If Flacco can continue to get this offense on track, McPherson could enter must-start territory for the remainder of the season.

Parker Romo (ATL) vs. MIA
15% Rostered

Parker Romo has not had the most consistent showings this season, but he has a prime matchup facing the Miami Dolphins. Through seven weeks, the Dolphins have surrendered the second-most PPR points to the kicker position.

Since missing two field goals in Week 3, Romo has gone 4-for-5 on attempts and 8-for-8 on extra points. Although he has only attempted one field goal from 50+ yards this season, in this favorable matchup, he is worth considering in deeper leagues. Given that the Dolphins have struggled to defend the run, the Falcons will have little trouble moving downfield with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier leading the way.

Matt Prater (BUF) vs. CAR
25% Rostered

The final kicker we will look at was also likely dropped due to his Week 7 bye. Matt Prater has filled in for the injured Tyler Bass (hip) and has handled passes quite well. The 41-year-old has gone 10-for-11 and a perfect 17-for-17 on extra points. Prater has been perfect from all attempts greater than 40 yards and has attempted at least two field goals in all but two games.

Even though he's coming off his worst showing of the season (where he did not attempt a field goal), expect a bounce-back for Buffalo on Sunday. As noted above for Badgley, targeting kickers in high-upside offense is the key to identifying a stremer. Coming out of their bye week, expect Josh Allen to return to his MVP form after losing two straight games, which will bode well for Prater.
