Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups and Streamers for Week 22: 3/23 -3/29

Gary Payton II - Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Rankings, NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Thunder Dan's fantasy basketball waiver wire pickups for Week 22 of the 2025-26 NBA season. Consider these players as fantasy basketball adds, streamers, and stashes.

The fantasy playoffs are heating up, and with each new week, managers are presented with more challenges as star players continue to drop like flies with injuries (my condolences to those who lost Tyrese Maxey, Cade Cunningham, and Anthony Edwards in recent weeks).

I'm expanding the list to 20% and under this week to be as inclusive as possible, and also because it's getting tougher to find these lightly rostered values as more teams dump highly rostered vets for streamers.

Alright, fantasy hoopers -- let's get to the finish line. Here are my top waiver adds and streamers for Week 22 of the NBA season.

Schedule Highlights

  • Minnesota and Phoenix have the dreaded TWO-game week, and Minnesota doesn't play until Wednesday.
  • Brooklyn, Golden State, Houston, Indiana, L.A. Clippers, Miami, Oklahoma City, Portland, and Toronto each play four games WITHOUT playing a B2B set this week.
  • Charlotte, Milwaukee, and Sacramento are the only teams that finish the week with a B2B set on Sat-Sun.

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire for Week 22

Taylor Hendricks - SF/PF/C (18%)

Small sample size alert, but Hendricks was a top-20 player last week in only 25 minutes a game, thanks to 3.3 steals, 1.5 threes, and 1.5 blocks per game. With four games this week, and a steady role for the Grizzlies, he's one of the best available options under 20%. If he is somehow still available in your league, snap him up quickly!

Davion Mitchell - PG (17%)

Mitchell has had a nice run for the last few weeks and has seen his playing time tick up into the 30+ minute range in both of Miami's last two games due to injuries to Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. If you need assists, he's been good for four or more dimes in 11 straight games.

Mitchell Robinson - C (15%)

It's only a three-game week, but Robinson shouldn't miss any games with no back-to-backs for the Knicks. He's easily one of the best boards and blocks targets out there, and you always have a possible big game bonus if KAT ever sits out a game.

Derrick Jones Jr. - SF/PF (15%)

This might be the longest stretch of productivity we've seen from DJJ in some time. He has a few stinkers mixed into the game log, but he has been very good more often than not. When he's at his best, he's delivering threes, steals, and blocks without damaging percentage or turnovers. He's a better add in 9-CAT than points leagues.

Gary Payton II - SG (13%)

Payton was cooking for the Warriors before missing last night's game with a sore knee. I don't think the injury is serious, and I like his chances of having a very productive week with his increased role with the Warriors of late. He's an excellent rebounding guard, and he's had at least two steals in five of his last six games.

Javon Small - PG/SG (13%)

Every week, I keep waiting for Small's stats to subside, but he continues to add value. When the Grizzlies rest Ty Jerome, Small has stepped up and delivered some really good games. He should be on your radar with a four-game week and is at least a potential streamer anytime the Grizzlies rest one of their other guards (Jerome, Cam Spencer, Walter Clayton Jr.).

Kris Dunn - PG/SG (12%)

I'm not sure if you remember, like four years ago, when Kris Dunn was a "Silly Season Hero" down the stretch, playing big minutes on a tanking team? Since then, he's morphed into a very useful role player for the Clippers - a guy who doesn't need to shoot to provide value with his passing and defense.

Dunn is a steals specialist for fantasy, averaging 1.6 per game on the season and nearly two per game over the last two weeks. He is an ideal fit for a punt points team, or just a team that values FG% and turnovers, as he can chip in steals, threes, and assists without hurting other categories (besides points).

Olivier-Maxence Prosper - PF/C (10%)

If you miss out on Taylor Hendricks, O-Max is a decent consolation prize. He's splitting the minutes at center in Memphis and won't provide the same upside in defensive stats, but can chip in with some points, boards, and typically solid percentages.

Pelle Larsson - SG/SF (10%)

You know the drill by now with Larsson; he offers some solid across-the-board production in offense, but pretty much no defensive stats. He's getting minutes in Miami, however, due to their injury situation, and averaged nearly 15 points a game last week on 48% from the field.

Yves Missi - C (9%)

Here we go with a super sneaky pick-up in Missi. The Pelicans' big man has been quite solid lately, with 10+ boards in four of his last six games, and is averaging 3.0 blocks over his last four. He's basically providing Mitch Robinson-type stats, but is more widely available, plus the Pels have a four-game week, making him likely a better add between the two.

Ousmane Dieng - SF/PF/C (9%)

I am a sucker for Dieng, I will admit it. He will post a super-efficient line with contributions in all nine categories and then follow it up with a stinker, but the long-term outlook here is good with Giannis set to miss more time (and maybe get shut down, we'll see). Four games from the Bucks this week, who seem inclined to play Dieng a lot and see what they have with the young big man.

Sam Merrill - SG/SF (8%)

Yes, more Merrill propaganda incoming - deal with it! Slammin' Sammy had a double-double last night, with a season-high 10 boards, but most importantly for fantasy he drilled three treys for the third straight game and has picked up the slack on offense while Cleveland has had Jaylon Tyson miss some time.

Max Strus's presence definitely muddies things up a bit, but Merril is pretty much locked into 25-30 minutes a night and is one of the most efficient sharpshooters in the game!

Josh Minott - SF/PF (8%)

Minott is a very trendy pickup for today's game against the Kings; his rostership shot up from just 2% to 8% overnight. His 22-5-2 line with six treys the other night certainly has our attention, as that's the second big line he's posted since coming to Brooklyn.

Dylan Cardwell - PF/C (8%)

It took him a few games to get back up to speed, but Cardwell went 9-13-3 against the Sixers the other night in 21 minutes. He's an elite boards and blocks player on a per-minute basis, so give him a look if you need that prototype of a player this week.

Isaiah Jackson - C (6%)

Jackson is super steady of late, providing managers with about 10 points and six boards every night with around 1.0 blocks. His minutes have been between 15 and 25 during his time in L.A., but he's one of those types of players who don't need big minutes to provide decent production either.

Jordan Miller - SG/SF (6%)

Be careful with Miller here. His best nights have been when either Kawhi Leonard or Darius Garland (or both) were out. Yes, Bennedict Mathurin is out for a bit longer, which opens up more bench usage, but Miller is more of a streamer than an add for all four games this week in my opinion.

T.J. McConnell - PG (6%)

McConnell continues to play through a hamstring injury and hasn't missed a game over the Pacers' last five. Don't sleep on T.J. as a pickup for assists this week, he's racked 45 assists over those last five games (9 per contest!)

Daeqwon Plowden - SF/PF (5%)

Plowden is questionable tonight, so keep an eye on his status. But he's coming off one of his best games of the season (20 points and four treys against Philly) and has seen 30 minutes of playing time in five of his last six games.

Chaney Johnson - PF (4%)

Okay, we are really digging through the mud here for a few of these pickups at this point, but Johnson has been quite productive for the Nets in his last four games. It doesn't matter if you didn't know he existed last week, give him a look if someone already scooped up Josh Minott in your league!

Elijah Harkless - SG (3%)

Harkless has entered the race for Silly Season Scrub of the year with two very good outings in a row. He had 23 points and 10 assists against Milwaukee last week and then followed it up with 15-4-5 and five steals against Philly. He's playing huge minutes right now, and I don't expect the Jazz to deviate from their current tanking course anytime soon.

Rob Dillingham - PG (2%)

Where's the love for Dillingham, people? I had him in this article last week at 1% rostered, and he's still nearly universally available despite scoring in double-digits in five straight games and handing out four or more assists in five of his last six!

Good luck this week, friends, and never hesitate to reach out with questions on roster moves!
