As we head into Week 12 of the NFL season, many fantasy managers are left searching for viable streaming options at the DST spot for Sunday, November 27th. The DST position is one of the trickier propositions in fantasy football, but can sometimes be the difference between wins and losses.

The New York Jets defensive unit has proven to be a feisty bunch in second-year head coach Robert Saleh's scheme. They draw an enticing matchup against the Chicago Bears in Week 12.

What Has The Jets DST Done in 2022?

The Jets have been a surprisingly good DST unit in 2022. New York sports a solid 6-4 record and they've held opponents to an average of just 18.6 points per game this season. Gang Green is tied for the fourth-most sacks in the NFL with 32 and they also rank near the top of the league with 11 INTs.

They currently stand tied for sixth in the league in average DST fantasy points per game at 8.4.

Should I Start The Jets DST In Week 12 Fantasy Football?

The Jets head into a Week 12 home matchup with the Chicago Bears in excellent form on the defensive side of the ball. New York has allowed just 27 combined points to the Bills and Patriots over their last two.

They now draw an enticing matchup against a Bears squad that will likely be without Justin Fields. Chicago currently ranks dead last in the NFL with an average of just 128.1 passing yards per game.

This is a beautiful spot for Gang Green - especially if Justin Fields isn't able to suit up. New York's group stands sixth in Total Defense DVOA and should have no trouble keeping a toothless Bears offense in check this week. They should be considered an elite DST streaming option in Week 12.
