Week 4 Waiver Wire Outlooks
Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has turned in two straight solid fantasy performances. Darnold threw for an efficient 218 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks did not need Darnold to do much in a game in which running back Kenneth Walker III rushed for two touchdowns and the defense dominated.
However, the performance was still enough for Darnold to deliver 16.7 fantasy points in four-point passing touchdown formats. Now that Darnold looks fully comfortable in Seattle's offense, he has a chance to deliver great fantasy performances in the right matchups.
The Seahawks are looking like a team that may be able to put up points in a hurry this year. Darnold already proved that he could be a solid fantasy quarterback in 2024. If you are battling quarterback injuries or poor play, keep Darnold on your radar moving forward.
Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said he is fully confident in second-year running back Trey Benson's ability to take on a bigger workload with veteran back James Conner (ankle) sidelined for the remainder of 2025.
Benson appears to be in line to handle the vast majority of backfield touches in Arizona, at least in the immediate future. The 23-year-old has recorded 170 yards from scrimmage on 29 touches through his first three games of 2025.
In any fantasy league where Benson is not already rostered, he should be the number one priority add on the waiver wire heading into a Week 4 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Elic Ayomanor, WR, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor carries a sleeper flex appeal heading into a Week 3 tilt against the Indianapolis Colts. The fourth-round rookie was competing for a role throughout training camp and the preseason, and has already emerged as a full-time player in the offense.
In Week 1, Ayomanor saw an impressive seven targets, but was only able to catch two for a mere 13 yards, facing a tough Denver secondary. Then in Week 2, Ayomanor was able to find the back of the end zone for the first time in his career and bring in four of his six targets for 56 yards against a potent Los Angeles Rams defense.
Given his emergence and increasing target share, managers in deeper 12+ team leagues should view Ayomanor as a viable flex option facing a Colts defense that has allowed the 16th-most PPR points to the position this season. If he were to once again see a high target share, he could enter high-end WR3 status for Week 4.
Brenton Strange, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange was drawing waiver-wire consideration after catching all four of his targets for a team-high 59 yards in the Week 1 win over the Carolina Panthers.
However, he took a step back in Sunday's 31-27 Week 2 loss on the road to the Cincinnati Bengals, catching three of five targets for just 17 yards. On the bright side, the 24-year-old was Jacksonville's clear TE1, playing 90 percent of the offensive snaps. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence leaned more on receivers Dyami Brown and Parker Washington in this one, but don't overlook the fact that Strange has nine targets through the first two weeks of the 2025 season.
Strange will probably continue to have up-and-down weeks, but he's been on the field enough to be considered a borderline TE1/2 in fantasy as the Jags head into a Week 3 divisional matchup against the Houston Texans.
