Doug's best MLB player prop bets for today (6/9/2026). Bet his home run props (HR props) and win money betting on MLB player props, including Kyle Schwarber, Ronald Acuna, and others!
We have 15 games on tonight’s slate, a night where we celebrate the birthday of the greatest actor of our generation, Mr. Johnny Depp. Hopefully, tonight won’t be a Nightmare on Elm Street for you, and you can pick the right guys to put some (Ed) Wood on the ball. Perhaps even a stroll down 21 Jump Street (okay, I know, enough of the Depp references).
We can honor the legend by rolling out some bets on Pirates bats against Eric Lauer, who has arguably been the worst pitcher in baseball this season. Nobody on the team has produced enough power against lefties to get featured in this article, but Marcell Ozuna has a strong history against Lauer and would make for a fun sprinkle to get some Pirates action. I am sure Thunder Dan endorses this message!
Below, you'll read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The current odds given reflect the best price as of the publication, but remember to always shop around at other sportsbooks so you can get more value on your wagers. Odds can vary significantly from one sportsbook to another.
MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (6/9/2026)
Kyle Schwarber OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+290 FanDuel)
Today marks the first start since coming off the IL for Dylan Cease, who was placed on the IL on May 24. He allowed two home runs in each of the two starts he made before being placed on the IL. One of those starts was against the Yankees, which can be excused, but one of them was against the Pirates, which is less reasonable. More importantly, Cease allowed two home runs in his only rehab start, which suggests he may still not be right.

I don’t normally bet bats against Cease, but Kyle Schwarber isn’t your normal bat. Schwarber leads the majors with 23 home runs, 70% of which have come at the expense of right-handed pitching.
He leads the Phillies with a .354 ISO and .571 SLG against righties with a near 40% Hard%. Even more importantly, Schwarber has hit Cease well in his career, producing three extra-base hits, including two home runs, in just 10 at-bats. The odds aren’t overly long, but history is on Schwarder’s side, and with how Cease is pitching, it’s a great time to attack.
Ronald Acuna OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+410 Novig)
Ronald Acuna is white-hot right now, blasting five home runs over his past 10 games, producing a .333 AVG and a .778 SLG over that time period. Interestingly, Acuna has been a far better player away from home this year, slugging 100 points higher with a home run rate over two times as high.
He’s had a strong career against Erick Fedde, hitting three home runs and posting a 1.277 OPS in 19 career at-bats. Rate Field (apparently that’s the name of the park where the White Sox play) has been playing hitter-friendly in relation to home runs. It has ranked slightly above league average in park factor, which is better than it has historically been over the prior three years.

As for Fedde, he’s been awful this year, allowing 13 home runs in 58.1 innings of work, a 2.0 HR/9. Over his past seven starts, that number has been 2.8 HR/9, as he’s allowed at least one home run in six of those starts. Fedde is a reverse-splits pitcher, getting hammered by right-handed bats to the tune of a .600 SLG. I’d consider parlaying Acuna with two total bases for Michael Harris II, who leads the team with a 47.4% Hard% against right-handers.
