Wild Card Weekend Tight End Outlooks for Fantasy Football
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (ankle) returned after missing six straight games due to an ankle injury and delivered his best game of the season in Week 18's win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Higbee caught five of his six targets for a team-leading 91 yards and a touchdown.
The 33-year-old's previous highest yardage total was 40 yards back in Week 6, and it marked his most yards in a game since his nine-catch, 94-yard, two-touchdown performance back in Week 16 of the 2022 season. It was great to see Higbee back and healthy, and he looks like the top tight end option for the Rams moving into the playoffs, although Colby Parkinson had a great game as well with two touchdowns.
Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears rookie right end Colston Loveland had a big game in his team's 19-16 Week 18 loss to the Detroit Lions, hauling in 10 catches for 91 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets. The 21-year-old ended his first NFL regular season on a tear, recording back-to-back weeks with double-digit targets, at least 90 receiving yards, and a touchdown. For the season, Loveland finishes with 58 catches for 713 yards and six touchdowns on 82 targets across 16 games played.
After hitting the five-target mark just twice over the first 11 weeks of the season, Loveland earned at least five targets in each of his final seven games of the year. The 10th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Loveland has a chance to establish himself as one of the NFL's premier tight ends as he heads into 2026.
