Zay Jones 2019 Player Outlook: Unlikely to Thrive in Suddenly-Crowded WR Corps
6 years agoWith almost no competition in the wide receiver room last year, sophomore Zay Jones became the top dog in the Bills' modest passing attack, posting a 56-652-7 line over 16 games. While it was encouraging to see Jones break out to some degree, with the additions of Cole Beasley and John Brown (and potentially rookie tight end Dawson Knox) Jones may find it more difficult to match his numbers from last season. Beasley will occupy the slot and Brown will act as the primary deep threat, and with Buffalo's run-heavy offense it will be difficult for Jones to get enough targets to make a significant fantasy impact. Jones claims that he is "bigger and stronger" this year, so it's possible he could act as the primary end zone threat to salvage some weekly flex value.
