Zack Wheeler Posts Quality Start Despite Two Home Runs
Zack Wheeler went seven innings Thursday afternoon at Citi Field, extending his streak of at least six innings per start to 11 consecutive. The 29-year-old allowed three runs on a pair of home runs, making this another quality start. Additionally, Wheeler struck out six and walked one, tossing 107 pitches in the process. He continues to find a rhythm, now having allowed three runs or less in five of his eight starts since the beginning of May. Regardless, his ERA stands at 4.61 while his record remains at 5-3.
