Zack Cozart Expected To Be Ready For Spring Training
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels general manager Billy Eppler said that third baseman Zack Cozart (shoulder) is in a normal hitting progression and all indications are that he'll be active and without restrictions in spring training next year. The 34-year-old has played in just 96 games in his two seasons in Anaheim and has been a massive free-agent bust for the Angels. He hit a weak .124/.178/.144 with no home runs and seven RBI in his 38 games in 2019. Cozart won't be a lock for regular playing time in 2020 until he proves his health and produces. He won't be one to target in the later rounds in mixed league drafts next spring.
