Zach Plesac To Start Thursday
Zach Plesac (finger) will start for the Indians Thursday night against the Kansas City Royals. Plesac will be stretched out to 60 pitches in the game and then sent to Arizona during the break to pitch in a sim game and get stretched out further before making his next start against the Oakland Athletics after the break. Plesac has been out since May 26 with a fractured thumb and will be a sight for sore eyes when he returns to the Tribe rotation. Plesac had posted a 4.14 ERA with 38 strikeouts through his first 58 2/3 innings pitched before hitting the IL.
