Columbus Blue Jackets winger Yegor Chinakhov ended up leading the NHL with six preseason goals. He completed his preparations for the new campaign with a power-play goal in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Washington. No other player managed more than four goals during the preseason, and Chinakhov also tallied an assist in six appearances. The young Russian winger put in impressive work, but his shooting percentage at 42.9 is unsustainable and he won't be scoring at that pace during the regular season, especially when the Blue Jackets have a full roster available, which wasn't the case during the preseason. However, Chinakhov is among Columbus' top prospects and he should play a bigger role in 2022-23 compared to last season when he averaged just 12 and a half minutes a night and couldn't do much with the limited playing time, settling for seven goals and seven assists across 62 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
