9 months agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Yasmany Tomas collected five hits with four home runs and eight RBI in a 25-8 victory on Monday night for Triple-A Reno against the Tacoma Rainiers, Seattle's Triple-A affiliate. He is the first Pacific Coast League hitter to smack four homers in a single game since 2008. Outfielder Matt Szczur also hit for the cycle while posting three RBI, and first baseman Kevin Cron had two homers and six RBI. Cron leads all of minor league baseball with 21 homers and 62 RBI, and he is tied for the lead with 34 extra-base hits. Arizona has plenty of depth in the minors should injuries call for reinforcements. Remember Cron and Tomas should the need arise.--Daniel E. Dobish - RotoBaller
