Wily Peralta Knocked Around By Twins

Kansas City Royals reliever Wily Peralta had a rough go in a non-save situation on Friday and eventually got pulled after giving up three earned runs in the top of the ninth inning. Peralta was handed the ball with a four-run lead, but he quickly gave up a leadoff double, walked a man, and then let a single load the bases as Eddie Rosario came to the plate. Peralta drew a grounder out of Rosario to minimize the damage to one, and another ground ball from Brian Dozier traded a second run for the second out of the inning. However, he was done after another walk, and Brandon Maurer got out of the jam after walking a run home. Peralta is possibly the closer in KC, but it's not really clear since the team is so bad. He locked down the most recent save opportunity the team got prior to Friday's bailout, but that was on June 27. He's also walked eight guys in 9 1/3 innings so far, so realistically, he should probably be avoided even if he is the closer.
