6 months agoWilson Ramos was in the middle of a career year in 2016, about to hit free agency after the season but an ACL injury cost him that shot, and he ended up signing a prove-it deal with the Tampa Bay Rays while trying to make a comeback. After only playing 64 games in 2017 and working his way back to game form, Ramos returned to form in 2018 to become an All-Star once again. Now that he will start for the New York Mets, can he carry some of that success over to 2019? Ramos finished with a .306 batting average last season, one point lower than his career high. The move to spacious Citi Field likely won’t help his power numbers as it ranked 22nd with .888 home runs per game. Even if Ramos has a ceiling of 10 home runs, he will have plenty of opportunities to drive in runners ahead of him. Ramos should hit in the middle of the order with Robinson Cano and Michael Conforto ahead of him, two players who will be on base quite often. Ramos is the consensus C3 in our RotoBaller rankings, and he could absolutely live up to that potential, with an ADP of 138. Make sure to get the home runs from other positions in your lineup and Ramos will help with the rest.--Kyle Richardson
