Wilson Chandler 2019 Player Outlook
Brought in on a one-year contract as yet another scorer in the arsenal of the Brooklyn Nets, Wilson Chandler’s season hit a roadblock before it even started. After last season, in which he made 32 starts with the Philadelphia 76ers before a trade to the Los Angeles Clippers, Chandler figured to be a key player off the bench for the Nets. But a 25-game suspension due to a positive performance-enhancing drug test will sideline him until mid-December. When coupled with the fact that Chandler averaged a career-low 6.0 points per game last season on just 41.8 percent shooting overall, owners are likely best bypassing the 11-year veteran in any Draft format. Chandler may be a name to keep an eye on upon his return from suspension, but until then, figure Rodions Kurucs to be the main beneficiary of increased minutes at the power forward spot in the Brooklyn rotation.
