Wilmer Flores' Market Picking Up
5 years agoThe market for free-agent infielder Wilmer Flores is starting to move, according to sources. With the free-agent market for hitters really thinning out at this point in the offseason, Flores is one of the more attractive utility men still available. The 28-year-old had just 265 at-bats with the Diamondbacks in 89 games last year due to injury, but he was great when on the field with a .317/.361/.487 slash line, nine home runs and 37 RBI for the D-backs. He's unlikely to hit for that high of an average in a full season's worth of at-bats, but Flores can be a decent utility man for fantasy owners in single-universe leagues, depending on where he lands and how much playing time he receives.
