William Eklund Day-To-Day With Upper-Body Injury
2 weeks agoSan Jose Sharks forward William Eklund is considered day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky expects Eklund to recover in time for the team's regular-season opener on Oct. 10 versus St. Louis. Eklund will enter his sophomore campaign after having a decent run as a rookie. The 21-year-old registered 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists) in 80 games last season. Eklund has been competing for a first-line spot in training camp. The injury will be a setback for him, but he should still feature heavily in the Sharks attack this season, even in a lesser role.
