Willi Castro Hitting Leadoff Against Rays
2 years agoMinnesota Twins infielder Willi Castro is starting at second base and is batting leadoff for the team on Thursday against Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Yonny Chirinos. Castro is starting for the sixth straight game for Minnesota, but he'll be bumped up to the top spot in the order for this one. Jorge Polanco will serve as the designated hitter and bat third in the order. Castro has gone 3-for-19 (.158) with a homer, two RBI and eight strikeouts in six games so far in the month of June, so it's not exactly like he's tearing the cover off the baseball of late. He'll have some sleeper DFS appeal in the leadoff spot, but he doesn't have much upside for anything besides stolen bases. The 26-year-old Puerto Rican is hitting .256 (32-for-125) with five homers, 12 RBI and 11 steals on the season.
