Willi Castro Considered Day-To-Day With Wrist Injury
Willi Castro (wrist), is expected to miss at least one or two more games with a sore right wrist, but an X-ray on his injury was negative, MLB.com reports. Castro was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to the issue, and he reportedly experienced wrist pain since Thursday. There is a risk that he could land on the injured list if it doesn't improve in the next few days; however, for now, he is still considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on his progress and see if he's available for a pinch-hit or back in the lineup by mid-week. DaShawn Keirsey Jr., Kody Clemens, and Jonah Bride are the most likely candidates to see more playing time in Castro's absence. On the season, Castro is slashing a solid .280/.362/.456 in 193 at-bats.
