Will Dissly 2020 Outlook: Will He Be Healthy?
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks tight end Will Dissly suffered a torn Achilles during the Week 6 matchup against the Browns, an injury that resulted in surgery and ended his season prematurely. While his status for the 2020 campaign is unknown, the 23-year-old has reportedly progressed well during rehab, and thus, it is possible that he could be back for the start of the year. As an insurance policy, the team signed long-time Carolina Panther Greg Olsen in addition to picking up a few tight ends in the 2020 NFL Draft. Olsen will likely be the No. 1 option if Dissly isn't in the picture, with Jacob Hollister and fourth-round selection Colby Parkinson right behind him. Dissly was productive last season despite the small sample size, finishing with 27 catches for 262 yards while hauling in at least one touchdown in three of his six appearances. He has the potential to produce on a week-to-week basis--as long as he can remain healthy--and will likely surpass his ADP if he can play. If the 23-year-old is still hurt and floating around late in fantasy drafts, pick him up (if you have an extra roster spot) and hold as the upside is undoubtedly there. If he is healthy and you missed out on an elite tight end, he is your guy in all formats.
