Walker Buehler To Throw Another Bullpen On Thursday
Walker Buehler (shoulder) threw a bullpen session on Tuesday and is scheduled for another one on Thursday. Barring a setback, Buehler is expected to return to the team's starting rotation for the three-game series against the New York Mets in Boston that runs from May 19-21. The 30-year-old veteran landed on the 15-day injured list on May 2 with inflammation in his right shoulder, but it looks like he's going to return to the big leagues without going on a minor-league rehab assignment. We wouldn't blame fantasy managers for wanting to leave Buehler on their bench when he returns to face the first-place Mets next week. In his six starts in his first season in Beantown, the former Dodgers hurler has gone 4-1 with a 4.28 ERA (4.29 FIP) and 1.22 WHIP with 29 strikeouts and nine walks in 33 2/3 frames.
