Vladimir Guerrero Jr. In Monday's Lineup
6 months agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (hand) is starting at first base and is batting third for the team on Canada Day on Monday against the visiting Houston Astros and right-hander Hunter Brown. Guerrero had X-rays on his right hand come back negative after he was hit in the hand by a pitch in the third inning of Sunday's loss to the New York Yankees. The fact that the 25-year-old stayed in for the whole game was a sign that the injury wasn't all that serious, and it's confirmed by the fact that he's back in the lineup a day later for the start of a new series. Vlad Jr. will look to take his current hitting streak to eight games on Monday. During his seven-game streak, he's gone 15-for-31 (.484) with five homers, five doubles and 19 RBI. Despite his injury score, fantasy managers must keep Guerrero in their starting lineups everywhere.
