Vince Velasquez Strong In Loss To Dodgers

Philadelphia Phillies starter Vince Velasquez arguably had his finest start of the season on Monday night in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. The 25-year-old entered the sixth inning with no hits allowed and just one run conceded. In that inning, however, things began to unravel, as he allowed a single to the leadoff man, with an error moving the runner to second. After recording the first out, he allowed a double, scoring a run. Following one more out, he allowed another run on a single. With 5 2/3 innings under his belt, he was pulled having allowed two runs while striking out six.
