Vikings Have Decided On QB Starter For Week 18
12 months agoMinnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said he has made a decision on the team's starting quarterback for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Detroit Lions, but he didn't announce it during his press conference on Monday. The players aren't in the building on Monday, so O'Connell plans to tell the QBs face to face before announcing the starter. The expectation is that the Vikes will go back to veteran Nick Mullens in a meaningless game after rookie Jaren Hall went 5-for-10 for 67 yards, no touchdowns, an interception and a lost fumble in Sunday night's 33-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Mullens went 13-for-22 for 113 yards and a touchdown in relief of Hall in Week 17 and threw for 714 yards and four TDs in his previous two starts. Both the Lions and Vikings could be resting a lot of notable players in the regular season finale this Sunday.
