The Minnesota Vikings agreed to a blockbuster, multi-year contract extension with Coach of the Year candidate Kevin O'Connell on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's unclear the length of the extension, but the new deal will keep O'Connell in Minnesota for years to come after he lead the team to a 14-3 season with Sam Darnold as their starting quarterback in 2024. The Vikings are also working on extending general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Vikings fell flat by losing to the division-rival Detroit Lions in the Week 18 regular-season finale to lose out on the No. 1 seed for the NFL playoffs and then were blown out by the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round. However, O'Connell isn't going anywhere after going 34-17 in Minnesota in his three seasons as the head coach.--Keith Hernandez
