Velus Jones Jr. Doubtful For Week 1
Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring) isn't expected to play on Sunday during the season opener against the visiting 49ers. The rookie hasn't practiced all week because of a hamstring issue, so his official debut may not happen until Week 2, although that's up in the air as well. Nevertheless, with the team also without N'Keal Harry (ankle), Byron Pringle and Equanimeous St. Brown could see a few additional looks from Justin Fields. However, Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet remain the favorites to lead the way by a wide margin on the receiving end.
