2 years agoColorado Avalanche winger Valeri Nichushkin is regarded as day-to-day with an upper-body injury and is forced to skip Thursday's matchup against Anaheim. Nichushkin can't shake off the injury bug and will be sidelined again just five games after returning from an ankle injury. He has played only 20 times this season, scoring eight goals and dishing out 10 assists. The Avalanche have freshly required Matt Nieto, and he could be thrust into a big role right away on Thursday with Nichushkin out.
