Tyson Barrie Signs Professional Tryout Agreement With Flames
3 months agoDefenseman Tyson Barrie has joined the Calgary Flames for training camp on a professional tryout agreement. The 33-year-old will try to earn a deal for his 14th NHL year. Barrie boasts 505 points (109 goals, 396) in 809 career games, but his stock has plummeted in recent times. Last season, Barrie suited up for only 41 games with the Nashville Predators, sitting out a lot of time as a healthy scratch. During the campaign, he had 15 points (one goal, 14 assists). Barrie recorded 55 points (13 goals, 42 assists) only two seasons ago, so he should still have some gas left offensively, but it looks like that alone won't keep him in the league.
