Tyler Reddick Unlucky at Iowa, but Still a Relative Non-Factor Before That
6 months agoTyler Reddick had a relatively mediocre run by his standards last night at Iowa, which doesn't come as much of a surprise since the Toyotas were slow in the race, not to mention that short tracks tend to be arguably Reddick's weakest track type. Reddick was unlucky as he got trapped a lap down when he pitted before the Daniel Hemric caution came out, then regained the lap on a wave-around but was forced to pit again when he ran out of fuel shortly before the race ended, which relegated him to a 22nd-place finish. Although he would have likely finished a little better with better luck, he never really had top-10 speed at any point so he probably wouldn't have finished much better. He ranked 14th in speed and second amongst Toyota drivers so he wasn't bad, but it's clear that Reddick's strengths lie elsewhere.
