Tyler O'Neill Out For Red Sox
4 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill is not in the team's starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale at Minute Maid Park against the Houston Astros. With O'Neill grabbing some pine to rest up, Rob Refsnyder will make the start in left field and will bat fifth against Astros right-hander Justin Verlander (neck), who is coming off the injured list to make his first MLB start since June. O'Neill returned from a leg infection last weekend and has gone 2-for-15 with eight strikeouts in four games played, so he could use a day off. The 29-year-old has had a solid first season in Boston with 22 home runs, 46 RBI and 60 runs scored to go along with a .262/.351/.524 slash line and .875 OPS. Refsnyder is mostly in consideration as a DFS sleeper when he's higher up in Boston's batting order and facing left-handed pitchers.
