Twins Still Involved In Josh Donaldson Sweepstakes
5 years agoThe Minnesota Twins and the Nationals are believed to have made four-year offers to third baseman Josh Donaldson. If they sign the 34-year-old, they will move Miguel Sano from the hot corner across the diamond to first base. The Braves and Dodgers remain in the mix as well, but they might be reluctant to go to four years for the aging slugger. A $100 million guarantee for Donaldson appears possible, and he could sign very soon. Injuries remain a concern, but Donaldson bounced back in 2019 by hitting .259/.379/.521 with 37 homers, 96 runs and 94 RBI for the Braves. Landing in Minnesota wouldn't be the best place for his fantasy value, but he'd remain a fine consolation prize at his position once the elite names come off the board.
