The Minnesota Twins agreed to terms with Fordham right-handed pitcher John Stankiewicz and Pacific left-handed pitcher Lucas Sweany following the conclusion of the 2020 MLB draft last week. Due to the shortened draft this year, all 30 teams may sign an unlimited number of high school and college players who went undrafted for a maximum of $20,000 each. Stankiewicz (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and was Fordham's first All-American since 1997. He had a 1.47 ERA, 102 K's and only 20 walks in 92 innings (13 starts) in 2019. Sweany (6-foot-6) was a reliever for most of his time in college. He's not much of a strikeout guy (93 K's in 113 innings over parts of three seasons), but he walked just 32 hitters in that stretch.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
