Twins Acquire Michael Taylor From Royals
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins acquired center fielder Michael Taylor from the Kansas City Royals on Monday, according to sources. It's unknown what the Royals received in return for Taylor. The 31-year-old veteran spent the last two years with the Royals, slashing .249/.304/.357 with a .661 OPS, 21 home runs, 97 RBI, 107 runs scored and 18 stolen bases in 984 plate appearances covering 266 games. He had a .254 average with nine home runs, 43 RBI, 49 runs scored and four stolen bases in 124 games in 2022 and will give the Twins some more outfield depth for 2023. Taylor could see decent playing time in Minnesota, but aside from modest speed in much deeper fantasy leagues, he won't have much upside. He hit a career-high 19 homers back in 2017 with the Washington Nationals.
