Troy Franklin 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Rookie With Opportunity In Unproven Offense
7 months agoAfter reaching for Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with the 12th overall pick in the first round of this year's NFL draft, the Denver Broncos paired him with Ducks teammate and wide receiver Troy Franklin in the fourth round. Nobody can argue with Franklin's production at Oregon –- he set single-season school records for receiving yards (1,383), receiving touchdowns (14) and 100-yard games (eight). The speed and athleticism are there, but there are also concerns about Franklin's slight frame and his route-running abilities. Still, Franklin should have an opportunity to carve out a complementary role behind Courtland Sutton while battling for targets with Josh Reynolds, Tim Patrick and Marvin Mims Jr. Franklin could have a leg up when/if Nix is starting under center, but most of his fantasy value in 2024 will come as a long-term dynasty/keeper-league asset.
