Tristan Jarry Caps Off Winning Performance With Historic Goal
1 year agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry had a night to remember against Tampa Bay on Thursday, as he became the first netminder in franchise history to score a goal. Jarry capped off a 4-2 win with an empty-net goal with a little over a minute left to play. He's the 14th different goal to score a goal in an NHL regular-season contest and only the fourth to do it over the last 10 years. The Penguins No. 1 did his usual tasks at an impressive level as well, saving 39 of 41 shots. Jarry improved to 8-8-1 for the season, and he boasts a 2.45 goals-against average with a .919 save percentage and three shutouts.
