Trey Lyles Scores 21 Points Off The Bench
7 years agoDenver Nuggets power forward Trey Lyles had another big scoring night off the bench in a loss to the Golden State Warriors. He had 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting and he also chipped in with five rebounds, three steals, and one three-pointer in 26 minutes. Lyles surprisingly did most of his damage in the paint. He took advantage of mismatches from the Warriors constant switching on defense and used his size to post up for easy scores. As of late, Lyles is playing with exceptional confidence, and for good reason. Over the last two weeks, he is scoring 19.6 points per game on 57.8 percent shooting. As a result, Lyles is playing like a mid-round player and should continue this strong play for the foreseeable future with Paul Millsap (wrist) on the sidelines.
