Trevor Story Walks Off Mariners
6 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story finished the first half of 2018 in style as he drilled a solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning to walk off the Mariners. It was a perfect way for the first-time All-Star to head into the break, and it helped cap an incredible start to the season for Story. He's now hit 20 home runs, stolen 12 bases, and is hitting .292 on the season. He goes into the break on fire, having hit safely in 10 straight games. Over the course of the streak, he's hitting .438 with four home runs, nine RBI, and a pair of stolen bases. Story could be a dark-horse candidate for MVP if he can keep this up.
