Trevor Story Goes Deep In Win Over The Cards

Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in a 3-2 win over the Cardinals on Saturday. This game was a pitcher's duel through the first six innings on Saturday as neither team was able to get on the scoreboard. The Rockies drew first blood when Story swatted a clutch three-run homer off of Genesis Cabrera with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Rockies bullpen gave back two runs in the top of the eighth inning but they were able to hold on for the save in the ninth. Story is now slashing .255/.328/.445 with 10 home runs and 39 RBI over 269 at-bats on the year. He's been underwhelming from a fantasy perspective but he has a whole second half to turn things around. Whether or not that happens on the Rockies is to be determined.
