Trevor May Earns His Third Save On Tuesday
2 years agoOakland Athletics right-hander Trevor May closed out Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, going one inning, walking two and striking out one without allowing a run, earning the save. It's his third save of the season, and they've all come since June 7. May now owns an ugly 6.61 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, and 16.5% strikeout rate over 16.1 innings. Despite the meager numbers, though, the 33-year-old is leading the Oakland bullpen and should continue to see the majority of save situations, that is, until Zach Jackson (elbow) returns from the injured list.
