2 years agoFree-agent starting pitcher Trevor Bauer will sign with the Yokohama DeNa BayStars in Japan's professional league. His deal is worth $4 million plus incentives, pending a physical. Bauer will attempt to rehabilitate his image overseas after the Los Angeles Dodgers released him in January after a lengthy domestic-violence suspension. It remains to be seen if the 32-year-old will return to the United States to pitch for an MLB team, but apparently no clubs had interest in him for the 2023 season. Bauer won the National League Cy Young in the shortened 2020 season with the Cincinnati Reds, but he's made only 17 starts since (107 2/3 innings) because of his lengthy suspension for domestic violence.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
