Tony Kemp Has Huge Playoff Performance
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Tony Kemp went 2-for-3 in Game 4 of the ALCS with one home run and two walks in the Astros 8-6 loss to the Red Sox. The speedster is not known for power but took a pitch from Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello and deposited it into the seats for his first career postseason home run. Kemp was on base three times and now is hitting .375 in the series. In 11 at-bats this postseason, Kemp has an on-base percentage of .533 and brings tons of speed to the bottom of the order. It is unclear whether he will crack the Game 5 lineup with the Red Sox expected to send left-hander David Price to the mound. But Kemp hit .268 against left-handed pitching and could be a real threat off the bench later in the game.
