Tom Wilson Celebrates First Career Hat Trick
Washington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson had saved his first career hat trick for his 700th career game, putting three pucks past John Gibson in Thursday's 5-4 win at Anaheim. Two of Wilson's goals came on the power play, and his final tally ended up as the game-winning marker. Before breaking out on Thursday, Wilson had netted only four times this season. Wilson has been off his usual scoring pace in 2023-24, but Thursday's hat trick should do wonders for his confidence. The 29-year-old power forward now sits on 12 points through 20 games, having also logged 60 shots on goal and 57 hits.
