Todd Monken Expected To Have Versatile Offensive Scheme
2 years agoNew Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken is expected to run a very versatile offense in his first year in 2023. He brings a big body of experience and versatility that is more adaptable to the Ravens' personnel and identity. He rain an "Air Raid" deep passing attack in his days at Oklahoma State and also oversaw a pass-heavy attack when he ran the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense in 2018, when they led the NFL in passing yards. But Monken used more heavy tight-end centric formations with many run-pass options and play action at Georgia. He's expected to make the Ravens' offense more balanced and multi-dimensional, which would be great news for quarterback Lamar Jackson if he sticks around. Given Baltimore's current personnel, it makes more sense for his offense to look more like Georgia's the last two years than what he ran in Tampa Bay.
