Tobias Myers Making MLB Debut On Tuesday
8 months agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers is making his major-league debut on Tuesday and is starting on the mound against the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road. Myers was called up by the Brew Crew last week for pitching depth, but he never got into a game, so this will be the 25-year-old's big-league debut. Before his call-up to Milwaukee, he posted a strong 1.62 ERA with 22 strikeouts and seven walks in 16 2/3 innings at Triple-A Nashville. Given all of the injuries to the team's starters, Myers has a real shot to stick in the Brewers' rotation for a little bit if he impresses the club on Tuesday. He was originally drafted in the sixth round by the Baltimore Orioles in 2016 and has gone 5-20 with a 5.74 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in his four seasons at Triple-A.
