Tobias Myers Getting The Start Against Red Sox
7 months agoMilwaukee Brewers rookie right-hander Tobias Myers, not rookie Robert Gasser, will make the start at Fenway Park on Sunday to face the Boston Red Sox. This will be Myers' fifth start in his first MLB season. He was called up from Triple-A Nashville earlier in the week and threw a scoreless innings with two strikeouts against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. The 25-year-old former sixth-round pick by the Baltimore Orioles in 2016 has gone 1-2 with a 5.00 ERA (6.85 FIP) and 1.39 WHIP with nine walks and 19 strikeouts in his 18 innings pitched so far in the majors, making him a pretty shaky streaming consideration for fantasy managers in deeper leagues on Sunday. Depending on how he looks against the BoSox, Myers could stick in Milwaukee's rotation for another turn or two with Joe Ross (back) on the injured list.
