Center/left winger Tim Stutzle and the Ottawa Senators have agreed to an eight-year, $66.8 million extension that will keep Stutzle with the team through the 2030-31 season. The deal carries a cap hit of $8.35 million per season and puts Stutzle through his age 29 season. The former third overall pick of the 2020 NHL draft has flashed high upside in his first two campaigns, tallying 87 points in 132 games. Last season, he finished with 22 goals, 36 assists, and 58 points in 79 games, a pretty remarkable season for a 20-year-old. With some big additions to the Senators' forward corps, Stutzle will see improved linemates and could be in for a nice season. He is a pretty nice sleeper pick at a relatively cheap price.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
