9 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Steven Brault struggled with his control in a 12-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. Brault was replaced by reliever Clay Holmes after just four innings of work as he threw 93 pitches, including only 51 strikes. He finished the evening allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits while also walking three and striking out three. The 27-year-old left-hander, who has not gone at least six innings in any of his four starts this season, is 1-0 with three no-decisions and a 4.76 ERA along with a 1.71 WHIP.--Daniel Benjamin
